Elevator monitoring and logging...

Monitoring and Logging of events to a web server.
An Embedded web Server board with a Microchip PIC32MX795F512 provides the internet connection. All Internet communication uses an outgoing only connection to a web page, no firewall adjustments are required. If you can browse the web to ElevateLive nothing special needs to be done to configure your network.

This board handles the communitation.

ELive Board

ELive Board

This ELive Board has a "BootLoader" to update the embedded firmware from an SD card.

An Embedded Web Page is also available for feedback, configuration and firmware update. It is also possible to remotely update the firmware. These are the board connectors.

ELive Board Connections

Digital Input

Digital Input is available using the ELive Di board. A Microchip PIC32MX250F128D provides USB, RS-485 and Digital Inputs. An onboard RS-485 Repeater is provided with a Xilinx XC9536 XL CPLD. This board communicates with the ELive board using RS-485. Each ELive RS-485 port may support multiple Di boards. They are wired "Daisy Chain" from one Di board to the next. There are no jumpers on the board. During startup each board address is determined by the sequence it is wired, there is a RS-485 In and Out connector to wire the next board.

The board may be powered from the USB connector and or a dedicated Power Input Connector providing 4 - 26 vdc.

The Board supports 2( two ) wire ModBus RTU protocol on the RS-585 Bus. The board is a slave/client to the ELive Master/Server board.

There is a USB HID "BootLoader" for firmware upgrades.

Each of the 8 (eight ) Digital Inputs is isolated with an OptoIsolator. 2 (two ) voltage ranges are available for each input, 4 - 12 and 12 - 48 volts.

As a change is sensed on a digital input it is reported to the Elevate Live web server where it is logged. The Elevate Live web server will display the last reported state of the input to authorized users and an EMail may be generated to notify there has been a change.

Digital Output

Digital Output is available using the ELive Do board. A Microchip PIC32MX250F128D provides USB, RS-485 and Digital Outputs. An onboard RS-485 Repeater is provided with a Xilinx XC9536 XL CPLD. This board communicates with the ELive board using RS-485. Each ELive RS-485 port may support multiple Do boards. They are wired "Daisy Chain" from one Do board to the next.
